Non-Obvious and Counterintuitive
I knew a professor of psychology who was told by one of his professors that there are two general responses to findings in psychology: "That's obvious" and "That can't really be true." I think the classic can't-be-true experiment is the one on cognitive dissonance. Now comes an article in The Psychologist about other non-obvious findings in psychology and why they are non-obvious in the first place.

I don't need psychologist, since I have two contradict person within me. One is right, another one is wrong, one is white and other one is black. Confusing? Let me put it clear, every time before I'm going to take decision, or when I'm in confusion or depression. There will be debate within me, like I said before, two of my illusion will contradict with one and another, finally I take decision based on the positives and negatives....
