VHS vs. DVD
I realized while watching Ridicule this weekend that there's one thing I miss about VHS tapes. They keep playing even if they're scratched, unlike DVDs which can grind to a complete halt. The scratched bit on the Ridicule DVD began at the denouement of the film, but fortunately didn't completely halt the film until that scene was over. Still I now have to rent another copy of it to watch the closing scene, which won't have the same effect, because it won't come right after the denouement.

There are other problems with VHSs though, like mold.
